“Given the global economic outlook of stability, the eight participating countries will implement a production adjustment of 547,000 barrels per day in September 2025,” the organization announced in a statement, quoted by Lusa.
This decision was made, in a virtual meeting, by Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman.
OPEC+ includes the main oil exporters, but also allies such as Russia.
This group will meet again on September 7 to assess whether production levels will be adjusted again.
In the last session, the price of Brent crude oil closed at $69.67 (about €60.12), a drop of 3.94% compared to Thursday.
This is the sixth consecutive monthly increase.
