José Barroso, speaking to journalists during the press conference on the visit of the international secretariat for the on-site evaluation of Angola’s report as an EITI implementer, stated that the country has already submitted two reports since joining the initiative.
The first report, submitted in 2023, presented general data, while the second report, submitted in September this year, contains more detailed information, particularly financial data, as recommended by the EITI.
One key difference, he highlighted, between the first and second reports was the inclusion of reconciled financial information from the Ministry of Finance for certain extractive sector companies, such as Catoca and Total, as required by EITI standards.
