Angola’s oil production has reached upwards of one million barrels per day (bpd), with crude output averaging 1.03 million bpd in August 2025. Figures from the country’s upstream regulator the National Oil, Gas & Biofuels Agency (ANPG) show that crude production totaled 32 million barrels for the month, representing a recovery from previous months.
The upwards trend is accredited to several projects coming online since July 2025, including the TotalEnergies-led Begonia and CLOV Phase 3 Developments ~ representing a combined 60,000 bpd – and the Agogo FPSO. Once fully operational, the Agogo FPSO will reach peak production of 175,000 bpd.
In the gas sector, the ANPG shows that production averaged 2,635 million cubic feet per day (mcf/d), of which 1,402 mcf/d was reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure. Approximately 962 mcf/d was delivered to the Angola LNG plant, while 307 mef/d was used for power generation facilities.
