Azule Energy and ANPG Sign Agreement to Unify and Extend Block 31 Development in Angola
International energy company Azule Energy has signed an agreement with the National Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Angola’s upstream regulatory body, at the Angola Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition last week. The agreement establishes the framework for incremental production from additional development wells on the block.
Located in the Lower Congo Basin, Block 31 is a producing asset in Angola’s ultra-deep waters. The recent agreement establishes the redefinition, redelimitation, and unification of the Development Area boundaries, consolidating them into a single development that includes four fields—Plutão, Saturno, Vênus, and Marte (PSVM).
As part of the agreement, the production contract for the PSVM Development Area has been extended until December 31, 2032, ensuring the continued development and production of one of Angola’s key offshore assets.
