ExxonMobil and Block 15 Partners Sign Expansion Agreement with ANPG at AOG 2025
ExxonMobil and its partners in Block 15 have signed an agreement with the National Oil, Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Angola’s upstream regulator, to expand the block’s area. The agreement was signed at the Angola Oil & Gas 2025 Conference and Exhibition last week.
As one of Angola’s oldest assets, Block 15 has produced over 2.6 billion barrels of oil over a 30-year period. The recent agreement aligns with the partners’ efforts to unlock additional resources in the block and follows a license extension agreement signed with the ANPG in July 2025.
ExxonMobil is the operator of Block 15, with partners including international energy companies Azule Energy and Equinor, as well as Angolan national oil company Sonangol.
