The Association of Angolan Petroleum Service Companies (AECIPA), consisting of 150 members from the Angolan oil industry, is advocating for increased emphasis on the implementation of local content.
Highlighting industry efficiency as a key advantage, the association asserts that prioritizing local content will facilitate heightened production in Angola, aligning with national targets of reaching 1.18 million barrels per day.
During a recent address in Luanda, AECIPA CEO Bráulio de Brito emphasized that local content enables greater involvement of domestic service providers, thereby enhancing the delivery of high-quality services through local investments, expertise, and products. He stressed the importance of companies investing in workforce training to ensure that employees are equipped to tackle the challenges and demands of the global market.
